Screening & Discussion: Documentary Film 13th

The 13th Amendment abolished slavery EXCEPT for one significant loophole: "…except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted…" This documentary film explores the past and present consequences of that loophole.

GAPP and Anderson Churches for Racial Unity (ACRU) are hosting this screening on Saturday, May 6, from 6:00-8:30 PM, at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, 8101 Beechmont Avenue, 45255

This program is free and open to the public. All are welcome, but this challenging film is best suited for high school students and adults.
